overview of 2007 project

 

GTRC projected that during 2007 most of the components of the project of 2006 will remain due to requirements from existing partners in Kosovo.

The additional activities GTRC have included in 2007 project are roundtables and informal meetings – debates. This project goal is to   provide opportunity for women and youth to raise awareness through discussion. To achieve this goal GTRC set two objectives:  Involving women and youth in the societal processes to enhance the role of women’s and youth NGOs in advocacy by helping to transform them from reactive service providers into proactive agents of change and Strengthen the organizational capacity of the NGO sector by fostering the development of critical thinking through professional and transparent approach towards issues.

To achieve these objectives will be organized four roundtables and two informal meetings or debates with our beneficiaries (women and youth) in order to identify future needs and new ideas.

 GTRC will organize the roundtables with topics that will support NGO-s development. The topic will be on: Leadership means You, Policy Design, Active citizenship and European Union Integration Process. Roundtables will be held in the GTRC premises and participants profile will be from society representatives of governmental and non-governmental sphere.  The number of participants in each roundtable will be 15-20 persons. Informal meetings or debates will be held also in GTRC premises, and the purpose is mainly exchanging experiences, information and identifying the needs in community level.

 GTRC also will be an Information and Database Resource Center by sharing information and opinions on gender related issues in Kosovo society.  The goal is to contribute the establishment of an open forum of info sharing and opinions on gender related issues in Kosova society.

To achieve this goal there are these objectives to be fulfilled: Support the information distribution for all gender related stakeholders and the society in general for raising awareness and participation and Develop models of info sharing and interactive tools of communication with other women NGOs and the public in general.

As activities GTRC projected to focus its work in the upgrading in services and information the GTRC web page as well as it will be “refreshed” the expert/trainers database with further information on existing members and new experts’ entries, local and regional ones.
